Michael Bradford
Associate Director, Sandra Day O'Connor High School

Michael Bradford is currently in his 11th year of teaching and sixth year at O’Connor High School where he helps direct the Concert Band, Full Orchestra, and Jazz Ensembles. He also coaches the O’Connor Saxophone Ensemble. The O’Connor Saxophone Ensemble has consistently made finals in the UIL State Instrumental Chamber Music Competition, and performed as a TMEA Music Showcase in 2023.

 

Before coming to O’Connor, Mr. Bradford was the Director of Bands at Cornerstone Schools in San Antonio from 2013 through 2018 where he helped build a comprehensive music program.

Mr. Bradford received his Bachelor of Music Education from Oral Roberts University and Master of Music Education degree from the University of North Texas. He has a Master of Arts in Worship, Theology, and the Arts from Fuller Theological Seminary.

​

His professional affiliations include the Texas Music Educators Association, Texas Jazz Educators Association, and Texas Bandmasters Association. Michael currently serves as the TMEA Region 29 Jazz Coordinator.
