Amanda King is in her 13th year of teaching colorguard. She started her colorguard career in Centerville, Ohio with the Centerville Jazz Band and winterguards. While as a member of the Bluecoats guard, although injured mid season, had an incredible learning season. After graduating she started teaching in North Texas while attending college. She has taught in the North Texas area. She worked with Birdville HS, Legacy HS, and her final stop as director at Fossil Ridge High School, where she fielded two successful winter guards earning 1st and 2nd place at NTCA championships. In 2014 she moved to San Antonio to be the colorguard director at Brandeis High School. While at Brandeis, she has had many successful guard and winter programs. She is married and has two daughters, Mia and Amber, which she is looking forward to introducing them to the incredible world of colorguard.
