Amanda King is an Ohio native and spent most of her own colorguard career there competing in the Centerville Jazz Band, Centerville A Guard and Centerville World Guard. Amanda is in her second year as the colorguard director here at O'Connor High School. 

 

Amanda previously served as colorguard director at Brandeis High School for eight years and Fossil Ridge High School two years before that. While in college Amanda was the assistant director at both Birdville High School and Legacy High School in North Texas. She also performed in the 2011 Super Bowl in Dallas.

Over her career she has coached several winter guards and maintained top three placements almost every year. In 2023, in her first year at O'Connor, the Varsity Winterguard took home 2nd place in their classification.
